The Pali lookout has huge significance in the history of Hawaii. It is where a large battle took place on the islands and many soldiers fell to their deaths from the steep cliffs. We even did a ghost tour and that was one of the stops we made at night because of how many soldiers jumped to their deaths rather than surrender. One of my friends and I went for a little hike around the Pali which actually went down from that area. I love graffiti and taking photos of it. The underpass was tagged with several peoples artwork, as well as the water tank pictured below the underpass.
We had to climb down a ladder to continue on our adventure. I didn't take too many photos of our brief hike but there were lots of trees and greenery once we got past the graffiti and bridges.
There was nothing quite like the views from the Pali.
A picture is worth a thousand words and sometimes I feel its best to let the photos do most of my talking, as in this case.
